Funded by the National Lottery’s Heritage Project, Niburu London organised a wide range of projects and events to explore the heritage of local residents.

And Then We Came

Recorded in 2010 as part of the National Lottery Heritage Project, the film shares an archive of oral histories focussing on Enfield’s African and Caribbean community.

Ponderful People

In July 2012 Niburu filmed Ponderful People, a play based on the true stories of residents of Ponders End, sharing experiences over a period of seventy years.

Reflections

This is a short film that juxtaposes imagery from Ponders End past and present. The journey takes us though the years with images exploring differences in local history.

Memoirs

Cliff Short shares stories of the Two Brewers Public House in Ponders End. Destroyed during World War 2, the pub holds fond memories..

Kingsmead School

A group of pupils form Kingsmead School learnt interview techniques in preparation for a series of oral history sessions with senior residents.

Windrush Memories

A group of local residents share memories of Windrush. Sharing family events, school and social experience, each share with heart .
